Join ETProjects in collaboration with the Office of Cultural Affairs, City of San Jose and many local institutions: The Children’s Discovery Museum, LICK Observatory, San Jose State University, Team San Jose… and that is only the start.
Invisible Skies San Jose is an immersive art experience, created by San Jose locals carrying umbrella props.
The filming of 2,000 participants will transform City Hall into an Observatory and document thousands of celestial bodies in motion.
The culmination will be a story of San Jose stars caught in images made available for public-facing opportunities.
The Goal: Collaborating with San Jose residents, we will create beautiful, inspiring and energetic city images for shared public spaces.
Imagine many galaxies in motion, surrounding City Hall Plaza, all captured by aerial photography.
Canopy images reveal stories of the universe, created by ETProjects’, drone photographer Chris Stobie, and known institutions Mallin Space Science Systems/ JPL – Venus, Rover tracks on Mars, Pleiades, Milky Way & North Star, the Moon- all represented. Umbrella props are gifted to participants. Dispersal patterns will be filmed as participants return home, carrying the experience into the future.
